Flexible Shaft Descale Kit - PVC Pipes - 100mm (4") to 150mm (6")

For larger PVC and ABS pipework, this Flexible Shaft Descale Kit gives drainage engineers a simple, compact way to remove internal build-up without relying on bulky equipment.

Designed for 100mm (4") to 150mm (6") pipes, the kit uses a drill-powered flexible shaft and plain chain knockers to clean the inside of the pipework with control. Because the chains are supplied without drill heads and do not have hard metal cutting tips, they are well suited to PVC and ABS applications where a less aggressive cleaning approach is required.

The lightweight setup makes it especially useful when working in places where access is restricted, equipment needs to be carried through buildings, or larger machines are less practical. Once on site, the kit is quick to prepare — simply connect the flexible shaft to a suitable power drill using the rotator shaft socket and fit the correct chain for the pipe size.

The plain chains can also be used in cast iron and vitrified clay pipes, although carbide chains are generally more effective for tougher scale, heavy deposits or more demanding descaling work.

The kit includes:

• A flexible shaft complete with sleeve and friction bearings to prevent dirt from getting between the shaft and the sleeve. The sleeve is heat and chemical resistant, and offers the perfect combination of rigidity and flexibility whilst maintaining a light weight.
